 Simon has nearly 20 years software development experience, the first two thirds of that time in defence related industries and last third at DEK.  He started as an apprentice with Ferranti writing sonar simulations in Fortran, rapidly moved to C and then OO techniques with Marconi.  Worked with many different quality standards and techniques including CMM, but nothing like the PSP/TSP until adoption at DEK 3 years ago.  Currently the Software Manager at DEK, responsible for all software development in both UK and India, PSP trained/certified, TSP coach and instructor trained, but not certified.  Chair of DEK's SEPG and striving to reduce needless rework and improve customer satisfaction through improved quality.
