Jeff is 63 and semi retired. His career in the defence industry started in the early seventies upon leaving the Royal Navy in 1972 and joined GEC - Marconi as a test Equipment Enginer and after 18 years left as a General Manager, During that time he became involved with a wide range of production and development activities including Weapons Systems production, Automatic Test Equipment and Training and Simulation development and production. He then joined Thorn EMI as Operations Director responsible for operations at Wells, and Crawley. After the takeover of Thorn EMI by Racal Jeff was appointed Director Command Systems at Racal Wells. Left Racal in 1996 and worked as a Consultant for 5 years advising on Manufacturing, Operations, ILS, Service Delivery and Organisation Development.
He joined QinetiQ Aircraft Test and Evaluation(AT&E) Division as Head of Programmes in 2002 to direct and lead the Programme/Project teams in the businesses transition from the public to private sector. He was appointed Programmes Director of QinetiQ Systems Evaluation Services Division in 2003, tasked with continuously improving programmes delivery with the objective of achieving timely delivery and delighting the customer as the norm as well as doubling Divisional turnover in 5 years. Objectives achieved by April 2008. Having sponsored the achievement of CMMi L2 accreditation a year in 2007, and subsequently achieving L3 accreditation in July 2008, decided to semi retire. Now delivering consultancy services and coaching in the areas of business/organisational Operations Management and Development, and Personal Development.
