How do you make a pig fly?

Steve Haighway

Business Improvement Director, BT

Steve Haighway

Steve joined the BT DFTS programme in February 2007 following a varied career in both BT and the Royal Air Force. Steve has studied for and recently gained his Six Sigma Black Belt through the British Standards Institute (BSI), which is utilised to great effect within the DFTS programme.

During Steve's BT Career, he has been central to some very large scale defence bids including the Defence Information Infrastructure and SKYNET5. He moved into the BT Global Services (BTGS) Rapid Assistance Team (RAT) which helped to ensure any failing or degrading capabilities within BT GS were rectified and brought under control. Following this, Steve set up and ran the BTGS Business Assurance team (BAT), which ensures that controls are in place to ensure strong Governance of Programmes.

Steve also owns the Programme Process Architecture, Quality and Sarbanes Oxley. Steve is the Sponsor for the DFTS CMMI Journey towards Maturity Level 2, which is on track to be achieved by end March 2008.
