How do you make a pig fly?

First field experiences of CMMI-ACQ

The SCAMPI method with a twist: A training and appraisal event. Take a SCAMPI C, tried and tested, add some training in CMMI ACQ and workshop the current processes against the model and you have ...... a better understanding of the model and the gaps that have been raised.

The objective of this presentation is to provide information on the approach that was proposed to a recent client to suggest a better use of the time of internal staff in both obtaining an understanding of the new CMMI ACQ model, a fast way for the B&C Team Leader to understand the company and then to create a set of actions that could be easily understood by the process action teams who were involved in the training.
In four days the staff were taken through a facilitated training and SCAMPI C, discussing the documents, processes and use of the processes in the company.

You should leave the presentation; understanding the training and appraisal approach, have discussed the major risks and benefits of the approach.
